ACHS has put a new policy in place for our school's parking lot. Students are no longer allowed in the school's parking lots during school hours. This includes during passing time and during lunch periods. This policy is in place to ensure the safety of our students and our campus.

Juniors and Seniors that are eligible, 2.0 grade point or higher, still have the rights to leave campus during lunch, but they are not allowed to just hang out in their cars or the parking lot.

Here are the academic goals adopted by the Board of Trustees for this school year.

Goals:

1. Students will graduate college and career ready.

2. Staff will provide equitable access and opportunities to close the achievement gap.

3. Students will master 21st century skills.

4. Develop educational programs that support healthy living.

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, thank you for your commitment to transform and inspire our students.

Here's to a joyful and productive year!

May/June topic:

In light of recent local and national events, we want to share what’s happening at NVUSD and in our schools, in terms of preventing, reporting and responding to bullying or hazing. Along with our entire community, we deeply value our children, and take their safety and well-being very seriously. For too many of our young people, bullying and/or hazing have been part of their lives, whether at school, at home or somewhere else.

eRead2win is an online summer reading program open to NVUSD students.

Everyone who participates will receive an invitation to a popcorn party at your school in the fall. At the party we will draw names for special prizes.

HOW do you participate? Just eRead! On a Kindle, iPad, smartphone, laptop...checkout an ebook or download an audiobook.

Each time you check out an ebook through the NVUSD Overdrive account or from the Napa County Library’s Overdrive account using your OneCard, your name will be entered into a drawing to win prizes.

Increase your chances of winning with each book by submitting a review (video or written) and your name will be entered into the drawing again...that means two chances to win for every book you read.
